Celcius Logistics has partnered with Ottobock India to establish a specialised prosthetics warehouse and distribution hub in Thane, Maharashtra.
The 3,000 sq ft facility, located in Wagle Estate, has been developed to strengthen India’s healthcare supply chain infrastructure for assistive and rehabilitation technologies. The warehouse includes ambient storage, 110 slotted racks and a dedicated temperature-controlled zone designed to maintain the integrity of sensitive medical components.
Under a five-year agreement, Celcius Logistics will manage end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations using advanced warehouse and transport management systems. The facility is designed to handle more than 2,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) and support a nationwide network of 24 clinics and 200 independent partners.
The companies said the integration of smart tracking systems and optimised inventory management is expected to significantly reduce turnaround times for hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
The initiative is aimed at addressing growing demand for mobility and rehabilitation solutions, particularly in diabetes-related care. In addition to operational improvements, the partnership also includes sustainability measures such as the use of electric vehicles for deliveries.
Looking ahead, the companies plan to expand the warehouse’s capacity by 25 per cent over the next year to further improve access to critical assistive healthcare technologies across India.
